Minnesota Music Hall of Fame

The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame Museum, organized in 1987, was established to honor musicians, past and present, who have contributed significantly to the Minnesota music scene in all genres of music including classical, bluegrass, rock & roll, waltzes, polka, and others. Currently there are over 155 inductees featured on huge displays of pictures, artifacts, instruments and uniforms reflecting musical history now carefully preserved and organized. Some of our famous inductees include: Whoopee John, Judy Garland, Bob Dylan, Prince, Lori Line, and many others.

Minnesota Museum of Mining

See early mine trucks, climb into the cab of a 1907 steam locomotive and a 1910 steam shovel or walk down into a simulated underground mine drift. Several buildings hold old fire trucks, 1916 bus, extensive large-format mineral samples, mine office and lab, and displays of early mining town life including schoolroom, broom factory, shoemaker's shop, print shop, dress shop and home. The Minnesota Military Museum seeks to strengthen public understanding of how armed conflicts and military institutions have shaped our state and national experience. We do this by documenting, preserving, and explaining military history as it was lived by the people of Minnesota. We also function as a major repository in Minnesota for historical artifacts and records of a military nature.

Minnesota Marine Art Museum

The Minnesota Marine Art Museum is a nonprofit art museum that engages visitors in meaningful visual art experiences through education and exhibitions that explore the ongoing and historic human relationship with water. Located in Winona, Minnesota, the purpose-built museum is located on the banks of the Mississippi River and boasts six galleries, an educational and events space, and a destination retail shop on its seven acre riverside campus.

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

Open year-round, the Arboretum (or "Arb," as many visitors say) is best known for its beautiful display gardens, award-winning tree collections and natural areas. The Arb features miles of trails in all seasons, including paved paths, cross-country ski and snowshoe trails and Three-Mile Walk. The Oswald Visitor Center includes a casual cafe and outdoor terrace, Gift and Garden Store, art galleries and Great Hall for many seasonal displays and events. The adjacent Snyder Building includes the Andersen Horticultural Library and a conservatory.

Minnesota History Center

An interactive museum with permanent and changing exhibits, the Minnesota History Center hosts concerts, lectures, family days, and other special events throughout the year. The building is also home to the Minnesota Historical Society library and archives, a research destination for schoolchildren, family historians, and academics
