Who We Are
At Aspire Artisan Studios & Folk School, students can explore traditional skills and arts by participating in hands-on classes and workshops. We seek to teach and inspire the adventurous do-it-yourselfers, creative dabblers, life-long learners and those passionate about the hand-arts. Our group of passionate artisans specialize in teaching authentic and traditional hand-arts. From blacksmithing to block printing, timber framing to textile weaving, our instructors implement the highest standard of quality craftsmanship within the art community.

Aspen Suites

Your home away from home in the heart of Rochester, Minnesota. Enjoy friendly personal service, an array of onsite amenities and newly remodeled spacious suites complete with all the comforts and conveniences of home. Our hotel is located across the street from St. Marys Hospital and a free shuttle ride away from Mayo Clinic, and mere minutes from major area businesses and attractions.

Aspen Select

Located just steps away from the Saint Marys Hospital, a pedestrian crosswalk leads from the doors of our hotel to the entrance of the hospital.

All of our newly remodeled rooms are well-appointed with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot in each room. Hi-speed fiber wireless internet, free parking and continental breakfast are also included.. And with our complimentary shuttle, the world-renowned Mayo Clinic and its downtown campus is just five minutes from our quiet hotel and we are directly across the street from the Saint Marys campus of the Mayo Clinic.

Aspelund Winery

In 2007, Bruce and Dawn Rohl opened Aspelund Peony Gardens. Besides growing and selling peony plants, they have invested in planting 450 elderberry bushes, 150 apple trees, and 80 grape vines.

A long time wine making enthusiast, Bruce has been honored at the county fair for his wine. It runs in his blood, as they say, his ancestors were vintners in France.
