Banadad is the Boundary Waters (BWCA) Longest groomed trail (29 km.) Yurts located along the Banadad. From the Banadad's eastern trailhead skiers can access the Lace Lake (5 km.) the Sepalla (1.5 km.), Tall Pines (5.5 km.) ski trails and 8 km of snowshoe trails. Together these trails are all part of the 41 kilometer Banadad Ski Trail System. The Banadad Trail System is a "carbon neutral trail"- CO2 produced by maintenance & grooming sequestered in tree planting.

Andrew & Cheryl Rist established the Classical Ballet Academy of Minnesota in 1987 in St Paul's artistic hub, Lowertown. The first year included a Nutcracker lecture/demonstration performed to about 150 people at St Paul's Galtier Plaza. Today, the Nutcracker is presented to an annual audience of over 10,000. The Nutcracker production was presented under the name Ballet Minnesota even though the name was not officially incorporated until 1990. In May 1988 the first Minnesota Dance Festival was produced at the St Paul Student Center Theater on the University of Minnesota St Paul Campus.
Founded in August 2018, Ballet Co. Laboratory is led by a motivated group of artists who work both on the artistic side and the administrative sides of the organization. The company believes in the constant growth of the whole person in a productive and encouraging environment and value collaboration in the studio as well as with the greater community.
