Welcome to the Rainy River and spectacular Lake of the Woods, which offers 1,000,000 acres of water, 14,000 islands and 65,000 miles of shoreline! The lake is located at the northern most point of Minnesota and is shared by Ontario and Manitoba, with more than 300,000 acres of Minnesota waters. The 70-mile-long Rainy River flows east to west from Rainy Lake to Lake of the Woods. Ballard's Resort is located where these two great waters meet.
