Tapping Time

Join us on March 28th (10 AM–2 PM) and March 29th (12 PM–4 PM) to see how tree sap becomes delicious maple syrup! Drop in anytime and stay as long as you like to explore hands-on activity stations, learn about the tapping process, and discover the science behind this sweet tradition. Maple syrup and treats will be available for purchase. Fun for all ages—perfect for families, nature lovers, and anyone curious about this seasonal favorite.

Packsacker Stringband - Taproom Barn Dance

Join us in welcoming members of Sugar on the Roof on stringed instruments and the regional professional caller Terrence Smith to the KBC Taproom! Bring your dancing shoes and a positive attitude!

Minnesota Pork: From Farm to Fork

Have you ever wondered what it takes to run a farm or interested in learning more about where your food comes from? The Oliver Kelley Farm is hosting Lori Stevermer to share her experience raising pigs followed by a cooking demo with Toni Swanson, RDN, CSG, LD. Toni will demonstrate how to cook on a budget and reduce food waste using a leftover pork roast to create 3 separate exciting meals.

Lakewood 2026 “Music in the Chapel” Concert Series

Lakewood Cemetery is excited to announce the 2026 season lineup of its popular Music in the Chapel concert series. The series kicks off on Sunday, April 12, with local musician Dan Israel, promising a memorable afternoon that sets the tone for a year highlighting the vibrant local music scene in one of the most breathtaking and intimate spaces in the city, the Lakewood Memorial Chapel.

Concerts run monthly on Sunday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and feature a variety of local musicians, including:

With the power of friendship and a lot of historical fiction, writing partners Bud and Doug have created a musical about unsung hero and inventor of the printing press, Johannes Gutenberg. They're here to present their show to potential producers and take it to the capital of the United States: Broadway! They built the set, hired as many musicians as they could afford, and are playing all the parts. What could go wrong?

The class is enjoyable and relaxing. Erin provides a friendly, pressure-free atmosphere for participants of all skill levels, where creativity is encouraged. No matter if you're an experienced artist or a novice, everyone can feel comfortable!

Take your suncatcher home and leave the cleanup to us! All materials are supplied.
