Hosted by the YMCA Center for Youth Voice, this competition will showcase Minnesota’s top 6th, 7th, and 8th graders as they flex their civics knowledge to see which student will advance to the National Civics Bee in Washington, DC.

The King Kat Catfishing Tournament comes to Fargo-Moorhead August 21–22, 2026, bringing anglers from across the country to compete on the Red River, which borders North Dakota and Minnesota. Known for its trophy-sized catfish, the Red River sets the stage for two days of competitive fishing as participants vie for the championship title. Spectators and fishing fans alike can enjoy the excitement as teams reel in impressive catches in this premier regional tournament.
