The 50th anniversary of the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship will take place Dec. 26, 2025 – Jan. 5, 2026, in Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the leadup to the tournament, teams from around the world will compete in the World Juniors Pre-Tournament Series, presented by Delta Dental of Minnesota, hosted by four Minnesota communities representing the State of Hockey: Mankato, Duluth, Bemidji and Rochester.

The Mankato Figure Skating Club is proud to host its 22nd annual Bend of the River Figure Skating Competition, sanctioned by the U.S. Figure Skating.Practice ice will be available on Friday evening and Saturday morning. The 33rd Annual Women’s Art Festival will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 4 PM at a new location! This year's festival will be held at the Seward Montessori School, 2309 28th Ave S, in Minneapolis and includes over 70 local women artists selling their artwork including jewelry, fiber, photography, painting, pottery and more. Admission is free and all are welcome. A $1 donation at the door is suggested to support the school PTA programs. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lot of the school and nearby streets.
