Join us for an evening full of family activities! We will have a holiday parade starting at 5pm that will go through town and end at the Gazebo Park. At the park we will have music, crafts for kids, treats, and collectible merchandise. Around 6pm we will gather around the City tree to count down for the annual tree lighting ceremony. The focus is on fun, not competition. Come dressed in your best turkey themed costume! After the run, enjoy cookies, water and warm beverage before your Thanksgiving festivities. The 5K course starts & finishes at Minnesota Ballet Theatre & School and loops nearby neighborhoods.

The Hovland Arts Festival Winter Art Show is an annual event held the Saturday after Thanksgiving in the historic Hovland Town Hall in Hovland, Minnesota (18 miles NE of Grand Marais on Highway 61). This annual event showcases the talents of local artists and craftspeople, featuring a variety of handmade goods such as fine art, pottery, leather goods, beeswax candles, and botanicals.
