Join us for a beaded fringe earring workshop with Brook LaFloe. LaFloe grew up in the Twin Cities and is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, ND. An artist, Indigenous educator, entrepreneur, CEO and co-founder of Niniijanis (One of Ones), LaFloe is featured in the Minnesota (where girls shoot hoops) section of the Girlhood (It’s complicated) exhibit for her work and accomplishments supporting the Twin Cities Native Community through her work in Montessori education and coaching basketball.
Davina Sowers and the Vagabonds have created a stir on the national music scene. Their high-energy live shows feature level-A musicianship, sharp-dressed professionalism and Sowers’ commanding stage presence. Also, their influences range from Fats Domino and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits. Moreover, the band is converting audiences one show at a time, from Vancouver to Miami and across Europe.

The Sound of (Black) Music is a dynamic and groundbreaking production that reimagines one of America’s most beloved musical classics through a joyful, Afro-futuristic lens. The electrifying score, featuring elements of jazz, soul, funk, and afro-grooves, celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Black music and its impact on American popular culture. The show stars a spirited band of leading performers, including celebrated vocalists Brianna Thomas and C. Anthony Bryant, and musical director Charenee Wade.
Mandy Gonzalez is an accomplished film, TV, and stage actor and author. She possesses one of the most powerful and versatile contemporary voices of our time. Mandy has starred on Broadway in the megahit Hamilton as Angelica Schuyler. She also originated Nina Rosario in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, In The Heights, for which Mandy received a Drama Desk Award. Mandy also starred as Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked, blowing the roof off of New York’s Gershwin Theatre each night as she belted out the signature song, “Defying Gravity.”
The Ladies of Laughter Funny & Fabulous Tour includes winners and the best talent from its competition. What started out as an annual videotape comedy competition in New York to honor a fellow woman in comedy who helped so many other get their start (Mary Jo Wobker), has steadily become known in the comedy world as the careerbuilder for women in comedy. Featuring Kelly MacFarland, Leighann Lord and Ruthy Ferrera.
