Sensory Friendly Morning at the Minnesota History Center

Join us at the Minnesota History Center to explore the Girlhood, (It’s complicated) exhibit and participate in a make-and-take activity.

The museum will be open from 9-10 am for registered Sensory Friendly Morning visitors, enjoying specific exhibits with some modifications. At 10:00 am, the museum will open to the general public.

Seeking A New Understanding of Minnesota's Role in the Underground Railroad

We have the honor of award-winning scholar Karen Sieber joining us February 20, 2025 from 7 - 8:30pm to discuss Minnesota's role in the Underground Railroad. Sieber's extensive work includes building a collaborative digital database and classroom resources about Black freedom seekers in the nineteenth century Midwest. She will also discuss her recent discovery of documentation that places noted Black abolitionist and Underground Railroad leader Moses Dickson in Minnesota during the 1850s.

MHRT Sleigh Rides at the Ralph Stoppel Farmstead

It's that time of year again! Join us for sleigh rides at the Ralph Stoppel Farmstead on Salem Road SW behind the History Center of Olmsted County on February 15, 2025 from 10 - 4pm. Free will donation with all proceeds donated to the Special Olympics. Bring the family for hot chocolate and cookies and ride as many times as you would like!
