Dave Holland New Quartet

Dave Holland is a renowned bassist, composer and bandleader with an abiding passion for musical expression. His tireless dedication to creating consistently innovative ensembles has propelled a professional career of more than 50 years. A guiding light on acoustic and electric bass, Holland has earned top honors in his field. To that end, he has multiple Grammy Awards and nominations and the title of NEA Jazz Master in 2017. Holland’s virtuosic technique and rhythmic feel is widely revered and remains much in demand.

Charlie Parr

In the music of Charlie Parr, there is a sincere conviction and earnest drive to create. The Minnesota-born guitarist, songwriter, and interpreter of traditional music has released nineteen albums over two decades. Also, he has been known to perform up to 275 shows a year. Parr is a folk troubadour in the truest sense: taking to the road between shows, writing and rewriting songs as he plays. Further, he is fueled by a belief that music is eternal and cannot be claimed or adequately explained.

Afro-Cuban All Stars

Afro-Cuban All Stars is a unique orchestra that has always promoted the full range of Cuban music. This ensemble embraces several generations and all musical styles. Additionally, over the years many of the band’s musicians have become international stars. Brilliant performers like Ruben Gonzalez, Ibrahim Ferrer, Guillermo Rubalcaba, Amadito Valdes and Manuel “The Guajiro” Mirabal have been All Stars.

Jana Nyberg 5

Jana Nyberg is a vocalist, flutist and band director from Minneapolis, MN. She appeared on Season Ten of American Idol and has released four full-length albums to date. She is also known for her expressive and soulful approach, and her ability to effortlessly shift between genres. A sought-after performer and recording artist, Nyberg has collaborated with Gigamesh, The Adam Meckler Orchestra, Jason Peterson DeLaire (Michael Bolton) Unus, Rass Kwame and others.

The Lavender Barnyard

The Lavender Barnyard is a lavender farm in Farmington, MN. With over 400 plants, The Lavender Barnyard hosts different events, including Kidsploration, a day for kids to come and explore the farm and learn more about lavender and pollinators which is held on Wednesdays, U-Pick lavender bundles Thursday-Sunday, as well as picnics and yoga in the lavender, and more! The on-site store is also open Thursday-Sunday to the public. The lavender is typically blooming mid-June through July, when it will all be cut between U-Pick and harvest.
