The Headhunters

Legendary jazz-funk ensemble The Headhunters celebrated the band’s fiftieth anniversary in 2023. Percussionist Bill Summers and drummer Mike Clark co-lead the band, with NEA Jazz Master Donald Harrison on alto saxophone. The band formed around Herbie Hancock‘s classic recordings: Head Hunters in 1973, Thrust in 1974 and Man-Child in 1975.

Esera Tuaolo: Mr. Aloha Holiday Show

Esera Tavai Tuaolo is of Samoan ancestry and was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up in poverty on a banana farm in Waimanalo and is a father of twins, Mitchell and Michele. Many of his meaningful moments while growing up and playing in the NFL can be found in his autobiography. The book is Alone in the Trenches: My Life as a Gay Man in the NFL.

Jack and Jill America, Inc. is partnering with The Works Museum to host Family Engineering Day, where children can explore STEM through hands-on activities. Activities and demonstrations will be provided by local STEM partners and range from computer science fundamentals to 3D printing.
