The Art of Luis Fitch

Works created by Mexican-Minnesotan artist Luis Fitch during the last decade will be on display at Bloomington Center for the Arts this summer. His body of work includes paintings, stencils, and urban art that explore identity, migration, and social justice.

Fitch will also host three free workshops about the traditional Mexican art of papel picado at Bloomington Center for the Arts on July 27, August 10, and August 30!

Hmong International Freedom Festival

The Twin Cities has gained recognition as the leading metropolitan area in the United States for its Hmong population, earning it the title of the "Hmong Capital of the Nation."

The Hmong International Freedom Festival is scheduled to take place in St. Paul. This event, known as the largest Hmong sports event in the country, will include competitions in soccer, volleyball, flag football, kato, top spin, and cornhole. In addition, attendees can expect to find a variety of vendors offering food, fruits, drinks, displays, and merchandise.

Centerville Main Street Market & Waterski Show

Shop among local artisans, pick up fresh produce from a neighborhood farmer, listen to live music and grab a bite to eat from a food vendor before walking to the popular & free Bald Eagle Waterski show next door (starts at 7pm. Bemidji Jaycees Annual Water Carnival & Red White & BOOM

BEMIDJI JAYCEES ANNUAL WATER CARNIVAL
Join us July 4th at Lake Bemidji as we celebrate with the annual Red, White, & BOOM fireworks display at dusk. Dusk is expected to be between 9:45-10:15 PM, with the fireworks typically launching around 10:10 PM. Please note that Cameron Park is not recommended for viewing due to obstructing trees, and Nymore Landing will be closed 24 hours before the fireworks. Head to the south end of Lake Bemidji for the best view of the fireworks.

The Annual Bemidji Jaycees Water Carnival Grand Parade will occur on July 6th at 1:00 PM.
