Kavyesh Kaviraj imbues his life and stories into his music, carefully weaving his influences into a boundary-breaking modern jazz outfit. He is well-known in the Twin Cities and beyond as a pianist, composer and arranger.

Juneteenth & Pride - Music @ Franconia

Celebrate Pride at FSP with the Midwest’s most authentic tribute to The Grateful Dead, plus a special guest performance by Wake Up the Heads. The day will also feature an all-ages drag show from Tooth & Nails Productions, an art market featuring LGBTQIA+ artists, and free drop-in art activities! Deep Roots Concessions will be onsite selling food all day. We’ll also have a drum jam and workshop (bring your own drums and noise makers!). $20 per car

Infidels: A Bob Dylan Tribute feat. Dan Israel, Terry Walsh, Steve Brantseg

Infidels is a new local Bob Dylan tribute supergroup featuring Terry Walsh (Belfast Cowboys) on vocals, piano and guitar. Here, he joins bandmates David Haugen (drums) and Bart Bakker (bass). Also, longtime veteran singer-songwriter Dan Israel is on vocals and guitar, and ace lead guitarist Steve Brantseg.

Arturo Sandoval

A protégé of the legendary jazz master Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo Sandoval was born just outside Havana, Cuba in 1949. Just two years prior, Gillespie became the first musician to bring Latin influences into American jazz. Arturo began studying classical trumpet at the age of twelve, but it didn’t take him long to catch the excitement of the jazz world.

(8pm) From Minneapolis – LaPlant Road is Emily LaPlant and Liz Ashworth, two friends who found life in the music of LaPlant Rd in their hometown of Grand Rapids, MN. Their blend of jazz-induced bluegrass is highly infectious, and when they take off, they do so at dizzying speed with impressive precision.

Winona Outdoor Collaborative May Meet-up: Pedals + Pints

Join us for an afternoon of biking. The fun kicks off at Two Fathoms Brewing where our skilled volunteers will guide you through a some bike maintenance tips and how to check your bike for safety to ensure a smooth ride. So, BYOB (bring your own bike) and embark on a group “no drop ride” to the Flyway Trail to explore and learn about local birdlife and sloughs. You might be wondering what “no drop” means. This is a ride where no one gets left behind if a rider isn’t able to hold the pace or have a mechanical issue.
