Where to Find Wildflowers in Minnesota

Every spring we eagerly await the first sprouts and blossoms of our state’s native wildflowers, and throughout the seasons we follow their blooming south to north, east and west. Here are a few of our favorite places to visit.

Quilt Auction

Annual Quilt Auction
8:30-10:00 a.m. Preview hand and machine quilted quilts and other items. 10:30 a.m. the auction begins. Theme baskets are also available on our silent auction. 11a.m.-1:00 p.m. pulled pork dinner will be served. Unable to make the auction...the quilts are displayed online and can be bid on before the auction by emailing in your bid to [email protected]
Kids activities will be available. All proceeds go towards our summer camp ministry.

Mantorville Restoration Association

The Mantorville Restoration Association is a 501c non-profit group dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the original structures owned by the association. The MRA was organized in 1967 for the purpose of preserving and restoring the architecture and history of Mantorville. In 1974, working with the Dodge County and Minnesota Historical Societies and the U.S. Department of the Interior, the MRA established Mantorville’s Historic District. This area is centered around Main Street (Highway 57) and 5th Street and includes 24 structures dating from 1850 to 1918.

Spring Hobby Show and Sale

The Museum hosts a semi-annual Model Railroad Show and Hobby Sale at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds – Education Building in Saint Paul in May and September of each year.Operating layouts in several scales! Over 200 tables of new and used scale models; Toy Trains HO, O, 027, N, S, & Z scale plus Antiques, Collectibles, Tools, Books, Videos, Toys, Buildings, Magazines, Prints, Posters, Photos and more!

Milan is very proud of its Norwegian pioneer heritage and celebrates all things Norwegian each year on the third Saturday in May. Once fondly referred to as Little Norway, Milan plays host to Norwegian music, dance, arts, crafts, and traditional foods including, lefse, flatbreads, krumkaaka, spritz, Norwegian meatballs, blod klub, Gjettost with cloudberry jam, and rommegrot.
