Chunky Game Day

In this program visitors will get a chance to play the game of chunky, a sport enjoyed by the people of Americas’ first cities 1,000 years ago.

Chunky is a game that involves rolling discs across the ground and throwing spears as close to the disc's resting point as possible. It's a great game to play out under the summer skies and on the summer grasses!

Cuyuna Crusher

Hosted by the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber of Commerce and the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series, the Cuyuna Crusher is an experience like none other! The Crusher takes place in the Mahnomen Unit of the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area where mountain bikers of all ages and skill levels along with their loved ones will join us for the 9th Annual Cuyuna Crusher held in August (date is soon to be announced).
