<p>This event will recognize two important aspects of Pelican
Rapids: first, the 90th anniversary of the discovery of one of the oldest skeletons
ever unearthed in Minnesota (now known as Glacial Minnesota Woman), and the
sixteenth Pelican Rapids International Friendship Festival which celebrates the
wonderful diversity of the community.</p>

Collinwood Regional Park & Campground

This lakeside park of 308 acres has a 64-unit overnight campground.  Fifty five sites have electric hookups, and the campground has a modern shower and restroom facility. Other features include group camp facilities, a picnic area with shelter and toilets, a swimming beach, a creative play area, five miles of ski / hike trails, a winter sledding hill, a sanitary dump station, a fishing pier, a fishing cleaning facility, a sand volleyball, a basketball court, horseshoes, and a boat launch.

Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Park

Wright County and the City of Monticello have partnered to create this 1,200 acres of open space in Wright County, known as the Bertram Chain of Lakes.  The County and City partnership was formed with the goal of improving the community’s quality of life by preserving this irreplaceable natural area and creating a regional park for public enjoyment and recreation.   The 1,200 acres of the Bertram Chain of Lakes property represents four lakes, acres of undisturbed shoreline, natural habitat, and oak forest.

Nobles County Historical Museum

The Nobles County Historical Society (NCHS) was the outgrowth of an Old Settlers Picnic September 10, 1933, in the Chautauqua Pavilion. Plans were soon under way to preserve and display articles and papers of historic interest and value. Space was granted in the courthouse to store and display a few small artifacts. Others were stored in various places throughout the county awaiting a permanent location.

Memorial Auditorium

Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center is located in the heart of Worthington’s historic central district. Constructed in 1931, the renovated and restored 657 seat classic art deco performance center, owned and operated by the City of Worthington, is one of the largest auditorium facilities in a wide region of southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.

Thea's Pumpkin Patch & Maze

Fall experience right off a scenic byway and just miles from Maplewood State Park.  Thea's offers up fall decor such as pumpkins, gourds, strawbales, corn shocks and much more....you can even find and pick YOUR perfect pumpkin.    You will find local crafts and goods in our craft shack.  There are concessions on site for when you need a break.  Games, children's barnyard, climbing spider, barrel train rides, hayrides, facepainting, crazy hair and of course our 11 acre corn maze.  Bring the family and spend the day.  Lots of outdoor space for fun and relaxa

The Beach Nook

The Beach Nook is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It offers canoe, paddleboard and kayak rentals. Food and beverages are also available at this beachfront amenity. Showers and restrooms are open to the public. The beach nook is located in Centennial Park, which includes a new picnic/shelter area, new playground equipment, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court and a splash pad, which is ideal for small children or those with disabilities.
