Lake Zumbro
Lake Zumbro Park, located on the shores of Lake Zumbro, is a 4 acre park and the newest addition to the Olmsted County Park System. The Park has NEW docks for launching your boat, piers that are ADA accessible for fishing, an ADA canoe and kayak launch area, and picnic tables for a great lunch on the lake. Stay tuned – future plans include a park shelter, additional fishing piers, and a sandy beach staging area.

Originally founded by a Minnesotan in Australia, Depot now operates in both Minnesota and Melbourne, bringing a carefree Australian attitude to warm and welcoming small group tours.
October 6-10th, Mankato’s Indigenous People’s Day Committee is hosting a weekend full of events. This year’s theme will be “Keeping Indigenous History: Growing our Seeds.”
All events will be free and open to the public.

Opened September 10th, 2004 Susan Hensel Gallery was a gallery/ workspace presenting 5-6 shows per year devoted to the concept of narrative in the arts in an intimate space, with hardwood floors and high tin ceilings. The Susan Hensel Gallery is now both a window gallery on Cedar Avenue, the main thoroughfare in south Minneapolis and an online venture represented on Artsy.net.
Authentic Excursions was formed out of a genuine appreciation for the warmth, creativity, and natural beauty of the Granite Falls community and the desire to share it with others. Our founder, Melissa, moved to Granite Falls just a few years ago, after she became a member-owner and board member of the local cooperatively owned pub, the Bluenose Gopher.

The 125 acres of prairie and woods along the Root River Valley offer many secluded areas to sit and relax or simply enjoy the outdoors. Root River Park is the perfect spot to have a family picnic. The Park has plenty of space to roam, along with a restroom, picnic tables, and fire pits located near the parking lot. Amenities include fishing, hiking, skiing, and picnicking.
