Cruzar la Cara de la Luna is a mariachi opera by
composer José “Pepe” Martínez librettist Leonard Fogila that tells the story of
a multigenerational American family separated by countries, cultures, and
consequences in search of new possibilities.

Spooktacular Halloween Downtown Trick or Treating

Owatonna goes big for Halloween with several large events geared towards families this week. Past events have been a Trick or Treat Trail, flashlight history tours, kiddie train ride, large petting zoo, scavenger hunt, face painting, a Bounce House and more!

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra's EXPRESS CONCERT: Beethoven, Coleman and Ibert

Quintets made up of SPCO musicians perform a work written in
tribute to a larger-than-life legacy as well as Ludwig van Beethoven's Storm
quintet. Valerie Coleman is the Sandbox Composer-in-Residence during the SPCO’s
2024.25 season. Her work Shot Gun Houses, written in tribute to Muhammad
Ali and his work as a global citizen, is “a conceptual offering to what a
community and nation can be through social responsibility, deep respect and
fellowship.”

Authentic Scandinavian event featuring dancing, entertainment, food, Viking-Age crafts, demonstrations, seminars, and other activities at the Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County.

Johnny Appleseed Days

Youth Art Summer Camp

Join us at GRA this summer for youth summer art camp with Heidi Jeub. In this 3-day camp, June 25-27th from 10:30-3:30pm, students will have the full studio art experience and build skills needed to continue their art practice. Participants get to choose their own projects and will have access to a range of supplies! Please bring a snack/lunch and a water bottle. This class is open to youth ages 10-14. Pre-registration is required.
