Clean, quiet, family resort at the end of the road on Long Lake by Vergas. 8 lakeside cabins include 14' boat or dock space, WIFI, TV, microwave, grill and picnic table. Free amenities for our guests are a sandy beach with enclosed swim area with slide and beach toys, paddle boat, kayaks, swim raft, playground, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, fire ring with wood and electric sauna. We rent boats, motors, paddle boards and sell gas, ice, pop and clothing. The perfect getaway for the fisherman and his family.

Open to the public, Morning Star Resort's lodge is centrally located at the resort, and is a very short walk from all of the cabins. The Sunset Bar and Grill offers great food, and the patio area, with a view of the lake, is a wonderful place to gather with friends for a drink and a bite to eat while watching the many hummingbirds. There is a full bar, big screen TV, and game room for the kids

Sunrise Prairie Trail

Sunrise Prairie Trail follows an original Burlington Northern railroad line constructed 1867-1870. Enjoy 25 mile of paved multi use trails through Chisago and Washington Counties. The northern terminus of the trail is in North Branch, with parking available at the intersection of Co Rd 30 and Maple St. The southern terminus is in Hugo, Washington County. The trail passes areas of hardwood forest, deep marsh wetlands, the Sunrise River and the towns of Stacy and Wyoming. Sightings of grouse, deer, wild turkey and waterfowl are common.

Sunnybrook Campground

This beautiful park features fishing in Whiskey Creek, (stocked with rainbow trout,crappies, and sunfish), picnic area, children's playground, semi-enclosed shelters, campground area with full hook-up and tent sites, two camping cabins, softball fields, frisbee golf, volleyball area and a children's zoo, which includes buffalo, whitetail deer, peacocks, and golden pheasants.
