About
Andrew J. Volstead was a Congressman in the early 20th Century, he wrote the Capper-Volstead Act which allowed co-operatives to operate as they do today. He also wrote the Prohibition Act. His wife Nellie Volstead was active in the women's suffrage movement . Their home is a National Landmark. Suggested donation of $5 each for tours, free to members of the Granite Falls Historical Society. Open seasonally in the summer months.
