Big Timber features 7 very cozy cabins in a lovely park-like setting among tall pine, spruce, & paper birch.
Located on the east shore of Beautiful North Star Lake, we have gorgeous lake views, gentle lake breezes and breathtaking sunsets.
Big Timber has a wonderful sandy swimming area with Adirondack chairs for relaxing and plenty of water toys for fun on the water. Guests can use paddleboards, kayaks and a canoe at no extra cost. We have pontoons and fishing boats for rent, as well.
There is an awesome kid's playground area along with yard games for every age. Several firepits are dotted around the resort for evening campfires with free firewood available.
North Star has excellent fishing & produces tasty baskets of panfish, large Northerns, Walleyes, & Bass. North Star is well known for hard fighting, trophy size Muskies! It is very clean & clear and has many bays, points, & islands. It is mostly surrounded by Chippewa National Forest public land so there’s always a quiet, calm spot to fish.

We offer 3, 4, 5, day & weekly vacations at very reasonable rates. Lowest rental rates on North Star Lake! Pontoon and fishing boats are available for rent. Free dock space with your cabin. No charge for canoe, paddleboard or kayak!
