City of Mantorville
About
Mantorville is a historic delight to visit. You and your family will discover the same charm that brought the Mantor brothers with their families, and inspired the citizens of Mantorville to preserve the entire 12-block downtown by placing it on the National Historic Registry in 1975. This status is shared with such places as Williamsburg, Philadelphia and Boston. There is a wealth of architectural heritage, talented artists, fine dining, entertainment, exquisite shopping, festivals and everyday activities for all ages and interests.
Mantorville is located in southeast Minnesota, along the South Branch of the Middle Fork of the Zumbro River, in a landscape of rolling hills amid the prairie farm land of Dodge County. Known as the source for Mantorville Limestone, Our rich history is evident by the limestone buildings in our historic downtown area. The Mantorville Historic District, along with other locations outside of the District, is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Many of the original limestone buildings remain viable to the community today. We are home to the historic Hubbell House and are the county seat of Dodge County.
