Cottonwood Lake Campground
About
Located in Bowstring State Forest, managed by Schoolcraft State Park. The 10 campsites are considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, a fire ring, and a table. The campground is close to Cottonwood Lake, but not right on the water. The campground is very wooded covered mostly with pine.
Pets are allowed in the campsites but all animals shall be personally attended to at all times
and shall be effectively restrained by a portable enclosure or by a leash not
exceeding six feet in length, and the animals shall not disrupt other persons
or deprive them from using an area.
All
sites are non-reservable and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Dates
Summer camping (between the first Saturday in May and the second Sunday in September ) is limited to 14 days. The rest of the year camping is limited to 21 days (between the second Sunday in September and the first Saturday in May). See our website for details.
