High on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River, scenic overlooks are easily reached by walking trails and offer a chance to get away in the quiet bluff country. Oak-hickory woods, pine plantations and goat prairies provide excellent birding, scenery, hiking on over 6 miles of trails and 9 miles of mostly intermediate level cross-country ski trails. A quiet park ideal for bird watching, hiking, and camping.

Park permits: $35 annual, $26 second vehicle, $12 handicapped, or $7 daily. Camping fees are separate.

Exceptional amenities in a spectacular setting. Hard to believe you're in the Mid West. Campground is lovely, sites are secluded and spread out, and shower facilities are clean and modern.
