Hay Creek Trails
About
The trail system within the 1,500-acre unit is connected by several loops covering a wide variety of terrain, from creek bottoms to scenic vistas. Most visitors come to Hay Creek to fly fish in the Hay Creek trout stream, or to ride horseback on the 15 miles of equestrian trails. Rugged; steep hills and valleys. Dense hardwood forest and long distance views of sparsely developed valley give a feeling of remoteness. Wild turkeys can be heard gobbling on spring mornings and occasionally during summer. Trout fishing in Hay Creek. Good fall color. Picnic area. Map available from DNR.
