Historic Dayton House
About
The Historic Dayton House is a showcase of Worthington's early days. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was built in 1890 by George Draper Dayton, who went on to found the Dayton Department Store empire. The Dayton House has New England design with twin chimneys, widow's walk, Ionic pillars and an immense front porch. The house was purchased by Historic Worthington Inc. to preserve this local historic building.
