About
Dive into Freeborn County history! The FCHM campus is located at 1031 Bridge Avenue, Albert Lea, MN and includes a museum, an extensive research library, and a historic village.
Established in 1948, the Freeborn County Historical Society consists of a museum, research library & village. The museum houses a gallery of changing exhibits, a museum store, the research library and archives. The village includes an array of historic buildings and stops as well as agricultural displays located in the Red Shed.
Exhibits highlight a wide-range of topics from Freeborn County Business to a Victorian Home, as well as featuring Albert Lea celebrities Marion Ross and Eddie Cochran.

2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month 11am - 2pm, June through September
Village Open May 1 - September 30, Wednesday - Friday from 10am-4pm, tours by appointment only
