From Ely - head east through town on Minnesota Hwy 169. Traveling 18 miles this highway becomes the Fernberg Trail or Lake County road #18. Our road sign is on your left. Turning left (east) on the gravel road go 1/2 mile to the lodge.

A family owned/operated resort on the Fernberg Trail. 115 acres surrounded by undeveloped county, state and federal land. Kawishiwi river system flows past the resort and ends at the real Hudson Bay. Absolutely quiet - a 100% wilderness experience at your cabins door! We are the only "paddle only" non-motorized resort in MN, directly next to the famous BWCAW - Superior National Forest! We offer weekly cabin rentals plus complete canoe/camping gear.

Our bunkhouses are open nightly for complete/partial canoe outfitting persons or partial week rentals. (Limited, call to reserve). Cabin sizes and rates all vary. Canoe/camping trips please call for information. Permit necessary to camp in the BWCAW.
