About

Minnesota Pioneer Park mission is to encourage an
appreciation & preservation of pioneer heritage of Central Minnesota
through education & displays of artifacts, with an emphasis on the late
1800's to the early 1900's. We are a history museum that depicts the life
& customs of the pioneers of Minnesota.

We have over 23 structures displaying thousands of artifacts. Many of
the buildings are original, Big Woods Building is where we hold all of our
event meals, our Office & library & clothing museum (WWI & WWII era
clothing), Our original Annandale Soo-Line Train Depot (Circa 1886), Built the
same year rail service came to Annandale our 1886 Soo Line Caboose, Poke Bonnet
Gift Shop, Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church (circa 1886) with ties to the
Titanic, One room Schoolhouse built in 1902, Sorenson Cabin (circa 1884), Sod
House (built onsite in 1976), Original homestead Trappers Cabin (1880's) &
the 1902 House, Hearth & Home building displaying different appliances
through the years and also our Original Barn displaying farming
artifacts.
Our Pioneer Village consist of 13 more buildings which include a Blacksmith
shop, Post Office, Millinery Shop, Drug Store, Harness & Buggy Shop, Dr's
Office, Print Shop & Jail, Fire Hall, Barber Shop, General Store, Dentist
Office, Funeral Parlor & Corrina Town Hall.
Our festivals start off with Armed Forces/ World War II / Rendezvous weekend
in May along with our Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast, Chili Cook-off, 4th of
July Pioneer Church Service, Ladies Tea Party, Picker's Festival, Fall
Festival, Halloween Spooktacular, Holiday Craft Fair and Pioneer Christmas.
We also offer Guided School Tours mid-April through Mid-June, Sept & Oct.
Thousands of students from all over Minnesota have come here for our School
Tour Program.
Also offer Day Camps at the park (churning butter, making biscuits, learning
about the Daily chores of pioneer life. Registration is through
Annandale Community Education.
