Situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, the 610-acre Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park (soon becoming Mississippi Gateway Regional Park) offers visitors the chance to see our Nation's greatest river up close. The West Coon Rapids Dam Visitor Center features fascinating displays about the Mississippi River, including aquariums featuring local fish and turtles. Visitors may also picnic, hike, or fish from the river shoreline. Naturalist lead programs offered on the 1st Saturday of every month. Call 763-694-7693 for program information.
