About
The Regional Science Center has two primary locations: the Planetarium on the campus of MSUM; and the Buffalo River Site which is 300 acres of prairie, woods and river, offering a variety of science and nature oriented activities and experiences. Included are walking trails and cross-country skiing; family astronomy nights with indoor and outdoor sky viewing; planetarium shows. www.mnstate.edu/regsci/
Dates
Year round. Grounds open daily, dawn to dusk. Interpretive Center open by appointment; Planetarium: Sept-May: SU 2pm, M 7pm; Jun-Aug TH 7pm.
Rates
Nature Center: No admission charge, charge only for group programs. Planetarium: Adults $5, seniors $2.50, Children 12 and under $2.50, Tri-College Students $2.50. Free parking.
