Tucked into a quiet bay on Big Sand Lake, Pine Cone Lodge is a place where families and friends come together to relax, reconnect, and make lasting memories. Just a few miles from Park Rapids, our resort combines the rich history of a traditional Northwoods lodge with the comfort and convenience of modern vacation homes.
Each of our homes is thoughtfully designed for gatherings large or small, with open living spaces, fully equipped kitchens, fireplaces, and cozy bedrooms. Big Sand Lake is known for its crystal-clear water, excellent fishing, and family-friendly swimming areas. Guests enjoy boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and evening campfires under the stars. In every season, the resort has something to offer—from summer days on the water, to colorful fall weekends, to snowy winter getaways with cross-country skiing and cozy nights by the fire.
The Lodge at Pine Cone
The Lodge is the centerpiece of Pine Cone Lodge and the newest addition to the resort. Open year-round, this spacious building offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. With 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, the Lodge can host large groups of up to 22 guests. Inside, you’ll find multiple gathering spaces including a grand living room with a fireplace and lake views, a large catering-style kitchen with double dishwashers and plenty of dining space, and a game area featuring pool, foosball, and ping pong.
Designed with group stays in mind, the Lodge is ideal for family reunions, retreats, and celebrations. Guests especially love the flexibility of private bedrooms paired with generous common areas that bring everyone together. Step outside to enjoy a beautiful view of Big Sand Lake, gather on the decks, or take advantage of all the resort amenities just steps away.
At Pine Cone Lodge, we believe the best vacations are about connection: gathering around a table, laughing over a game, or watching the sunset with the people you love most. Many of our guests call it magical—a small piece of heaven in the Northwoods—and we’re proud to welcome new and returning families year after year.
Take the hassles out of owning water toys. We rent Jet skis/Personal Watercrafts, Ski boats, Pontoons, and Fishing Boats. Located in the Park Rapids area, we deliver to the lake of your choice. Call about lakes located more than 40 miles from Park Rapids. We take the responsibility to avoid the transfer of AIS to clean lakes.
