About
Rockwood is a unique and historic resort on the Gunflint Trail on the Eastern half of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Located on the 31st mile of the 57 mile long Gunflint Trail, we actually have a section of the original gravel trail that goes through our resort! Even the Lodge (built between 1926 and 1932) is an original building, hand crafted from native Pine with a large meeting room and gift shop next to the front counter.
The Outfitting building shares the same area and is a complete outfitters for beginners to seasoned pros. High quality Kevlar, Royalex and Aluminum canoes.
Canoe Outfitter providing wilderness canoe trips; also available are 8 lake shore cabins with day trips into the BWCA. Bunkhouse for overnight accommodations, boats and motors and fishing guides. Great location for BWCA day canoe trips. Complete and partial outfitting using ultra light equipment.

Open 7 days a week, May through Oct. 7am - 7pm.
Rates
Rates are for 2 people; Additional adults $150/week, $30/day. Additional Children 4-16 $75/week, $15/day. Children 3 and under are free. Rates subject to sales tax and 4% lodging tax
Pets are welcome! One time fee per pet $25.
