The Ruttger family owned and operated the resort from 1898 to 2020 making it the oldest family-owned resort in Minnesota history. Ruttger’s turned a new chapter in 2020 with new owner, 1898 Investments. The Ruttger family remains part of the operating team alongside with 1898 Investments ensuring the continuation of the Ruttger’s tradition. Ruttger’s is a traditional, cozy, up north family lake resort where guests feel at home, relaxed and comfortable because they are treated like family; not a customer.
