About
Some 6 miles of hiking/cross-country ski trails loop through mixed aspen, birch and pine woods along two small lakes and the Shingobee River. Rolling terrain and scenic overlook of Shingobee River Valley. Trail system connects to the North Country National Scenic Trail. Campsite at overlook; group camp. Location maps posted at trail intersections. More information available from Chippewa National Forest, Walker Ranger District.
Hours & Dates
Hiking is available year-round. Trails are groomed for cross-country skiing as conditions permit. Snow sledding hill available as conditions permit. Seasonal Chalet only open when conditions permit and staff available.Rates

We were only 3 thankfully because it was a busy day.
The hill is mostly smooth. A few bumps here and there. My 1st experience here, so maybe the bumps were for an added thrill.

There is a great sledding hill and provides a lot of fun and winter exercise. Be sure to be careful. I have personally gotten pretty injured on this hill.
