About
We have 23 “Primitive” ( Tent Pads and a Fire-ring ), Walk-In campsites on our property, in a natural wooded area, just 15 minutes from Canal Park and downtown Duluth. We open to camping in May, and remain open until we get enough snow to groom the ski trails. Many campsites are located within 200 ft of our chalet and parking lots, or more remote if you desire. The lower level of the chalet is open to campers 24/7 and offers Boys’ and Girls’ bathrooms, with showers, fresh potable water, and electrical outlets for charging your gadgets. The lower level also affords safe haven in event of severe weather.
Campsites are as close as 100 ft from parking and Bathrooms or more remote if that is your preference.
We do have sites available without reservations, but we do appreciate your sending details of your stay along with a check for $20 per tent per night. Self check in for your convenience.
Snowflake Nordic Ski Center is your home for healthy outdoor fun. We have over 15 kilometers (5K lighted) of well groomed cross country ski trails. All of our trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing. Cross country ski lesson & rentals. The trail layout was designed by Olympian George Hovland (1952). An inviting chalet, friendly members and staff welcome you to Snowflake. Also available: walk in tent camp sites and soccer field. Chalet is available for rent for special occasions.
SMOKING or rowdy behavior is not allowed.
Dates
We are open year round, weather permitting from dawn to dusk. During the ski season our trails are lit from dusk until 8 pm. Tent camping is available from April-November.
Rates
The rates at Snowflake are very reasonable. An inexpensive daily pass $10 or season membership is your ticket to healthy, outdoor fun. Please call for specific rates. 218-726-1550 or 218-310-2517.
