In 1969, Stub Digre’s dream became a reality when he opened Stub’s Dining Hall & Saloon in Battle Lake, Minnesota. Stub transformed a building, which previously had been an farm implement dealership, into a restaurant, lounge, and dance hall. Stub’s Dining & Saloon has always been a favorite destination in the area; well known for its food, fun, and friendly atmosphere. Stub’s Dining proudly serves Certified Angus Beef Steaks and features Stub's famous "Butterknife Steak."
