About
Sunrise Prairie Trail follows an original Burlington Northern railroad line constructed 1867-1870. Enjoy 25 mile of paved multi use trails through Chisago and Washington Counties. The northern terminus of the trail is in North Branch, with parking available at the intersection of Co Rd 30 and Maple St. The southern terminus is in Hugo, Washington County. The trail passes areas of hardwood forest, deep marsh wetlands, the Sunrise River and the towns of Stacy and Wyoming. Sightings of grouse, deer, wild turkey and waterfowl are common.
