Swing Bridge Park
About
Built in 1894, the Rock Island Swing Bridge was designed as a double-deck structure carrying railroad traffic on the upper level and vehicle traffic on the lower as it crossed the Mississippi River.
Today, the 670-foot walking pier is Inver Grove Heights’ most iconic landmark and extends over the Mississippi River for a unique panoramic view.
