Experience the Future of Music
Ted Mann Concert Hall offers an inviting and memorable experience. Located right on the banks of the Mississippi River, the venue welcomes visitors with a bright, three-story glass lobby that’s perfect for taking in the view before a show. Inside the 1,126-seat auditorium, the classic "shoebox" design and tiered seating ensure you’ll have an intimate view and crystal-clear sound from any seat in the house. The venue has hosted an illustrious roster of world-renowned artists and ensembles, including Wynton Marsalis & The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Bobby McFerrin, the Martha Graham Dance Company, and the Schubert Club.
The University of Minnesota School of Music offers over 400 public performances throughout the year. These events, many of which are free or low-cost, feature the school's student ensembles, guest artist performances, masterclasses, and more. Performances encompass a wide range of musical styles, including orchestral, choral, and world music. The school even boasts an outstanding opera theatre program that stages two full productions each year. The events are open to the public, and a great opportunity for anyone to experience live music and support the development of student musicians. Visit the School of Music Events page for a full schedule of events.
