Growing up in Minnesota, we were outside as much as we possibly could be as children in any and all kinds of weather... soaking in the warmth of sunshine, feeling the rain on our faces, enjoying the sounds of birds singing, leaves rustling and breathing in the rich scent of a snowy pine forest. Now, as adults, we often find that we can easily spend too much time indoors and in front of screens... and we wanted to change that.
Tofte Trails was built on the edge of Lake Superior in Tofte, MN. The five cabins were completed on August 15th, 2023. This project encompasses all the nature that Tofte has to offer. Inspired by the power, dark sky and raw beauty of Minnesota’s North Shore, Tofte Trails was developed on 17 stunning acres overlooking Lake Superior.
Tofte Trails offers five year-round North Shore cabin rentals perched above Lake Superior on 17 forested acres. Designed for couples, solo stays, and dogs welcome in all cabins except Oberg for our guests with allergies, each space blends reclaimed wood, expansive large windows, and modern craftsmanship into a quiet, elevated retreat. Our design-forward cabins also offer a romantic getaway in the Midwest.
Minutes from Oberg Mountain, the Gitchi-Gami Trail, Lutsen Mountains, and the shoreline cliffs of Lake Superior, this is your refined base for exploring Minnesota’s North Shore. Come experience gorgeous, modern cabins near Lutsen. A 5 minute drive from Tofte Trails.
