About

In 1880, Tracy was established with a population count of 322. Horses, oxen and pure human energy powered the growth of both city and countryside. Now Tracy is home to 2,300 friendly citizens who take pride in their community. Our downtown specialty shops have many things to offer and our Aquatic Center attracts many visitors from around the area. There are plenty of recreational opportunities to enjoy such as hunting, fishing, camping, golfing and biking. Tracy is also known nationwide for its annual Labor Day weekend Box Car Day Celebration. Many claim that the Labor Day parade is the largest parade in Southwest Minnesota.
