Catch" at the 1954 World Series. The museum is a
tribute to Wes Westrum, a top-rated catcher with the
NY Giants during the 1950's. Wes' baseball memorabilia
is from over 50 years in baseball as player, coach,
manager (Mets and SF) and as a scout with the Atlanta
Braves. In over 100' of glass display cases, see
hundreds of photos, newspaper articles, and artifacts
of Wes' and other baseball personalities: Leo
Durocher, Casey Stengel, Jackie Robinson, Yogi Berra,
Willie Mays, and many more from the 40's, 50's and
60's. The museum is accessible by calling
218-776-3933, or 776-3696, or through the American
Legion after 4 pm. Open for Summerfest, June 25-28
and Saturday afternoons during the summer.
