About
White Wilderness provides guided sled dog adventures, ranging from one to four days. Trips are lodge-based, camping or yurt-based, and include your dog team, food, lodging, guides and equipment. Nothing compares to the thrill and excitement of driving your own dog team through the spectacular winter scenery of Northern Minnesota. No experience is needed, as our guides teach you everything you need to know. You will harness and hook-up dogs, as well as learn skills helpful in maneuvering your sled along the trails. Your guides give you tips on staying warm and comfortable in this winter climate. Accompanying you on your trip, they make this adventure safe and enjoyable for everyone.
We have a trip for everyone. Want the relaxing comfort of a north woods lodge? Try a lodge-based trip. Enjoy dogsled outings during the day, but return to the warmth and comfort of your lodge at night.
For a more rugged adventure, our camping trips take you to remote locations. Enjoy the night sky before retiring for the night, either sleeping outside under the stars or in a tent.
A compromise between the luxuries of a lodge and the remoteness of camping is staying in one of our yurts. Heated, insulated shelters, our yurts are set up at a permanent camp.
All our trips include delicious meals, served both in lodges and on the trail. Nobody goes hungry here! At night there is an opportunity to relax around a wood stove or fire, read a book, or learn to snowshoe.
We teach you to drive your own dog team, and we share with you our passion and love of running dogs. We take pride in the fact that we can successfully teach anyone to drive a team of Alaskan huskies.
