This October, the William A. Irvin freighter is fraught with the Captain’s Curse, a mystery for attendees to solve. It starts outside, with giant sea-life tendrils reaching up the now Captainless boat, and continues aboard the length of the 610ft ship with crew morphing into various cryptids* from the nooks & crannies.This season marks the 31st year of this unhallowed event. Freshly inspired by their trip to a national haunting convention (we take our spooky seriously!), the crew is readying for their October run, starting Friday, Oct 2nd and running every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (plus MEA Wednesday!) of the month. The experience takes 50 actors and lasts approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on whether guests make it through.VIP | Fast Pass | General Admission and NEW! Light On: Not-So-Haunted TourNOTABLE:

• Did you know?: Half the tickets sold for the Duluth Haunted Ship are to people in the Twin Cities metro! It also has the largest ticket sales of any stand-alone Halloween Attraction in Minnesota.
• NEW! Not-So-Haunted Tour: This year, the spooks, zombies, and assorted undead that haunt the ship will vacate the boat on the afternoons of Sat, Oct 3, and Sat, Oct 10 from 1:00 pm — 3:00 pm.
• MORE DISCOUNT DAYS: This year, the entire first week of Haunted Ship - Thursday, October 3—Saturday, Oct 5th—and every Thursday in the Haunt's run is $20! These are great times for locals to attend.
• VIP offering will include special rooms, the ability to view others going through the attraction and remote control their experience and a speciality VIP cocktail/ mocktail.
• Lines can get long, so we have made-up actors walking along the crowd and bon fires to set the mood.
• The BEST experiences are during the first two weekends of the month, when the attraction is less popular. Less people = more scares!

FUN FACTS:

• Last year, just under 174 people couldn't make it through the haunted ship, and 52 pee’rs(self-reported) tallied on our board
• We use professional makeup artists with commerical-grade products, which can include everything from scars to horns.
• Welcoming new actors!
• It takes 80 pints of (fake?) blood to create the production
