About
Veterans Memorial Hall, a program of the St. Louis County Historical Society, and the Lake Superior Railroad Museum announce their next event in the local history presentation series, History in a Pint.
The presentation “Hold the Line”, will feature storyteller/author Darrell Pedersen, the 2024 winner of the Northeastern Minnesota Book Award for Best Memoir. His book, "Campfire in the Basement: Reflections from a North Woods Lake,” reflect his deep appreciation and love for the people, critters, lakes, swamps, and woods of Minnesota. His latest book, “Who Will Carry the Fire?” Pedersen celebrates the long line of people who have been a part of the network that has worked together to make possible and to care for the amazing country and world that we live in. He honors parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles - even ancient ancestors. He will center his talk around some of the Veterans’ stories from his family tree.
