Ballet Co.Laboratory returns to the Huss Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul to present their original ballet, Nutcracker in Wonderland December 13 – 15, 2019. The ballet uses Tchaikovky’s classic Nutcracker Suite score while it fuses together two well-known classic works from the 1800s, Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland and E.T.A Hoffmann’s The Nutcracker. Nutcracker in Wonderland tells the story of grown-up Clara rediscovering the magic of her childhood. In true Nutcracker form, Uncle Drosselmeyer brings the Rat Queen and King to life, along with other Wonderland creatures. Audiences will Waltz through the Land of Snowflakes while meeting all of their Wonderland favorites along the way including the mischievous Cheshire Cat, the ever-late White Rabbit, and the spiteful Queen of Hearts.
