Brides across central Minnesota will have a new, local resource for information and inspiration as they plan their upcoming nuptials. Shimmer + Chic, a wedding magazine published biannually by Perham Printing, will be available at no charge throughout the area. Shimmer + Chic is a visual wedding resource that showcases different venues and vendors from the central Minnesota area. It also includes inspiration for local brides and grooms in its "Real Wedding" and "Real Engagement" features.

For visual artist, Kristen Perala, the idea for Shimmer + Chic blossomed out of an experience at a previous job where she participated in a stylized shoot. "I realized just how valuable this could be for our community," Perala said, "We have a lot of really creative people who make this area a wedding destination. Shimmer + Chic puts their hard work on display. It isn’t an ordinary wedding guide that has checklists and to-do lists. Shimmer + Chic is a high quality, visual resource." Perala continued, "It's very photo-based to offer real-world inspiration to local couples."
