Minnesota's Most Memorable Murals

Minnesota's most iconic murals can be found in big cities and small towns all across the state. Some are decades old, while others are new additions. Use the map below and plan a road trip to see them all.

  1. St. Paul

    A selfie with the "Greetings from Minnesota" mural is a must for every State Fair-goer—all 2 million of them. Susan Warner's glass art mosaic debuted in 2008 to commemorate the state's sesquicentennial.

  2. Minneapolis

    One of the city's newest murals is a tribute to one of the state's most famous sons, Bob Dylan. Created in 2015 by Eduardo Kobra, it depicts three stages of the singer's life.

  3. Bemidji

    You can't miss the North Country Skateshop in Paul Bunyan & Babe's hometown thanks to this colorful, graffiti-inspired mural that adorns the side of the building.

  4. Henderson

    This Henderson mural pays tribute to the late Prince

    With homages to Prince all around the Twin Cities, an impressive mural and memorial bench surrounded by purple flowers are worth a special trip to Henderson. A few scenes from "Purple Rain" were filmed here, about an hour south of Minneapolis.

  5. Bloomington

    The ultimate #OnlyinMN photo op is at Mall of America for a limited time. Renowned local artist Chuck U originally designed this larger-than-life postcard to welcome visitors during Super Bowl LII.

  6. Perham

    Installed in 2014 and measuring 70 feet long, artist Cindee Lundin's concrete mural, "Waves of Discovery," weighs 4,000 pounds and features a family of loons plus 50 hidden homages to the area.

  7. Duluth

    Lincoln Park is Duluth's fastest-growing neighborhood

    Local artist Paul LaJeunesse's "Lincoln Park" mural depicts Duluth's changing neighborhood's blue collar past and culinary-driven present. Find it outside Frost River Trading Co.

  8. Crosby

    A mural in downtown Crosby chronicles the region's mining-to-biking transformation

    This prominent mural in downtown Crosby depicts the Cuyuna Lakes region's transformation from mining to outdoor recreation hub, thanks in large part to the development of the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area.

  9. Virginia

    'Cruising Main' is one of eight murals in the Iron Range

    A series of eight murals in this Iron Range town depicts the life and history of the area. This one, called "Cruising Main," can be found at the corner of Chestnut Street and North First Avenue.

  10. International Falls

    In operation for 40 years, the historic Border Theatre is commemorated with this beautiful mural, located on Third Street just down the road from Smokey Bear Park.

  11. Red Wing

  12. Mankato
